The full-back has a clause in his contract that allows him to sign a pre-contract agreement elsewhere at the start of March, should they not activate an extra year option. United chiefs have to make the decision by March 1 or the 33-year-old right-back is free to negotiate his exit.

Valencia might leave. The way Jose Mourinho is treating him, it seems he could be on his way out. Valencia didn’t start in United’s last game. Mourinho clearly didn’t like his social media activity. Also, the player has problems with Mourinho’s game plan. With Shaw and Dalot showing a bright future for the Red Devils, it seems United won’t have a defensive crisis if they let Valencia go.
